The Legend of the “Blue Wind” of South Island Begins

Once Upon at time, a little mongoose girl named Mina lived on an Island with her family and friends. She was always happy with her life, though since she was a very little girl then it wasn’t that hard to be happy. All she needed was her mother’s love and her friends to play with and nothing else mattered.
One day, the little girl and her friends were playing on the beach the morning after a storm when Mina thought she saw something strange floating in the water towards shore. Curious, she went out into the water to get a closer look at it and when she reached it, she discovered that the ‘thing’ was actually a person. A little blue hedgehog boy was floating there, unconscious, but still somehow managing hold on to a piece of drift wood.
Mina and her friends quickly got the boy the rest of the way to shore as one of them went for their parents. When the parents arrived, they immediately set to work Although the mysterious boy seemed no worse for the wear in spite of his ordeal, it would be several days later before he woke up.
The boy awoke to find himself in the house Mina and her mother shared, however far from solving the mystery surrounding him and where he came from, it only made things even more mysterious, for when they asked for his name, his only answer was, “I don’t know.”
The boy couldn’t remember anything, not his name or where he came from or even what he’d done to find himself lying in their spare bedroom, recovering from nearly drowning at sea to begin with. The other inhabitants assumed he must have been traveling by boat and either crashed or fell overboard during the previous night’s storm.
The boy recovered quickly after that. Undaunted by his loss of memory, it wasn’t long before he adapted to life on the island and many of the inhabitants quickly excepted him as one of their own. He continued to live with Mina and her mother and the two children quickly became the best of friends. Although people eventually stopped wondering so much about the boy’s origins there were other things about things about him that still set him apart from everyone else, for this child had a special gift. It was soon discovered that this boy could run at amazing speeds. Even at his young age it was clear he was the fastest being on the island. Because of his amazing speed, the boy was able to think up a proper name for himself.

From then on his name was Sonic the Hedgehog.

It’s been seven years since Sonic arrived on South Island and at the age of 12, Sonic has explored the entire island from one side to the other and has already been from on many adventures with Mina and their friends. However, he’s starting to find that life on the island is getting a little boring. In fact, recently Sonic has begun to contemplate leaving the island to explore the rest of the world. Everything changes however, when the Eggman arrives...

Things to know about Lil' Sonic:
-He's pretty hyper most of the time.
-He tends take a lot of things in stride and can be down right over enthusiastic
-He's still going through a phase where he thinks girls are gross, but as long as they don't do anything "weird" he'll still be nice to them.
-He has a short attention span on a lot of things and gets bored easily.
-He's afraid of thunder storms. >.>
-For similar reasons, his dislike of water is an actual phobia.
-He doesn't like the Chaos Emeralds much (more on that in the Info entry of his journal)

((This is an RP character for the Nexus related rp's (Such as sages_of_chaos) based on Sonic in a Fanfiction universe I'm in the process of creating called Sonic Plus, in which I recreate the orginal story from the games with a few twists such as Sonic only being 12 years old when his adventures began. Other characters from his univeres will also make appearances from time to time, but this is primarily his journal.
